Marcel "Mark" Borys - May 12, 2016
BALTIMORE: On Thursday May 12th 2016, Marcel "Mark" Borys, age 78, joined our Lord
after a long valiant fight with illness at The James Cancer Center.
Mark was an active member at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at Buckeye Lake. He enjoyed
services with his wife every week. He also was a member of the VFW in Baltimore. He enjoyed
breakfast with his friends and fish fry on Fridays. Mark also was a member of The Knights of
Columbus for many years. Mark was able to light up a room just by walking in. He will be
remembered for his stories and his tremendous generosity.
Mark is survived by his wife, Judy Borys (Klauk), his two sisters Mary Bartzak and Sally
Zdrojeski, his two children Mark Paul Borys (Monica) and Julie Wilson (Michael), his four
granddaughters Brooke Cable (Clayton), Hannah Lane, Olivia Borys, & Sylvia Borys. He also
left many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is proceeded in death by his brother, Ray Borys.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 20th at Our Lady of Mount
Carmel Church, 5133 Walnut Road SE, Buckeye Lake, Ohio 43008. Burial will follow in St.
Mary Cemetery, Lancaster with military honors by the Baltimore VFW Post 3761. Family and
friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME,
207 S Main Street, Baltimore, Ohio 43105, with a service by the Knights of Columbus during the
evening calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, family is asking for any donations to be made to the OSU James Cancer
Center, c/o The Ohio State University Foundation, 1480 W. Lane Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43221
