Who We Are:
Our club is a diverse group of men, women and
youth interested in electronics and radio
communications. Joining an amateur radio club
offers you:
Instruction and tutoring
Additional advanced training
Work on electronic DIY projects
Access to club radio equipment which offers an opportunity for hands-on” experience.
Hams provide Emergency Communications on a
volunteer basis during times of local and national
disasters. Amateur Radio Operators (Hams)
volunteer their communications skills to Police,
Fire and other Local, State and Federal agencies
during these times of emergency. During such an
event, Amateur Radio is often the only working
form of communication still available as storms,
floods, fires and other disasters can quickly take
down the public communication infrastructure
such as cell phones, home phones and the internet.
With their emergency power supplies, such as
batteries, solar panels and generators, amateur
radio operators can get on the air and provide fast
and reliable communications in almost any condition.
